Texas! pt. II

Here is another random post of what most Texans cannot live without.....This would be Bar-B-Q, no not hot dogs and hamburgers on a grill... we are talking Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork, and so much more tasty meats. And their is no shortage of BBQ joints in Austin from the more mainstream Busters BBQ (incorrect, Thank you Alex Bennitt) to the Salt Lick that is in the middle of no where. I have made it my personal goal to find out which ones stand out from the rest! (it is a challenging task..but I'll try my best) Here is a very short list of current leaders; Ribs = County Line, So very tasty! (also amazing garlic mashed potatoes) , Brisket = Rudy's whether it's moist or lean you can't go wrong (amazing creamed corn)....So yaahh there are some of my faves. (sorry if I offended any true Texans who have other opinions on what good Bar-B-Q is, just let me know what you think!)

  1. Busters is not mainstream they are a small family owned business. They used to be in a really small takeout place 10 years ago.

  2. Try the chopped beef sandwich at Pok E Jo's. With fried okra. Deelish.

  3. Will do just learned what fried okra was like a week ago, still not a 100% sure what it is

  4. FRIED OKRA is one of my favorite things in the world.
